Renaud Bajeux

Renaud Bajeux was born in 1985 in Amiens.
After a classical training in cello at the Amiens Conservatory, and in sound engineering at the Louis Lumière School (ENS), he has been working since 2009 as a sound designer for the cinema, and frequently collaborates with INA grm as a performer and sound engineer. He also performs live and is currently preparing his second album Seeking a Vision, mixing Serge synth sounds and field recordings.

Renaud Bajeux est né en 1985 à Amiens.
Après une formation classique en Violoncelle au CRR d'Amiens, et sonore à l'ENS Louis Lumière, il travaille depuis 2009 comme sound designer pour le cinéma, collabore avec l'INA grm en tant qu'interprète et ingénieur du son. Il se produit également en live et prépare actuellement son deuxième album Seeking a Vision mêlant système Serge et field recordings.

Leaving the Nest / 2017

Leaving the Nest is the first movement of Magnetic Voices From the Unseen, released by Nahal Recordings in 2019. Composed exclusively from recordings of the magnetic field, this album explores this elusive and peripheral world generated by the machines that surround us. Each movement uses the “voice” of a particular machine as its main material. Leaving the Nest features computer mice producing sparkling and sinuous melodies.
Leaving the Nest has been selected for the 2017 Banc d'Essai competition and the 2018 Russolo Prize under the name Chant magnétique I.

Leaving the Nest est le premier mouvement de Magnetic Voices From the Unseen, paru chez Nahal Recordings en 2019. Composé exclusivement à partir d'enregistrements du champ magnétique, cet album explore ce monde insaisissable et marginal généré par les machines qui nous entourent. Chaque mouvement prend comme matière principale la « voix » d'une machine particulière. Dans Leaving the Nest, il s'agit de souris d'ordinateur aux mélodies scintillantes et sinueuses.
Leaving the Nest a été sélectionné à Banc d'Essai 2017 et au Prix Russolo 2018 sous le nom Chant magnétique I.
